A new Regional Sounds program where local artists teach their songs to a group who are then encouraged to re‑imagine them into a style of their own. Think Triple J’s Like a Version, but local, live, and community‑powered. Here, pop can become rock. Folk can become rap. Punk can become soul.

At Origins, participants learn directly from the writer, the story, and the song. And this is only the beginning. Our long‑term vision is to record a Regional Sounds “Origins.” album, featuring Geraldton artists covering each other’s material. This program is not just for original artists, we are encouraging all musicians and cover artists alike to learn from their favourite local artists - how cool would it be to hear a local ‘cover’ dropped into a pub set…
